Mexican Free-Tailed Bat Balsa Ornament balsa-butterfly and self-realizationKnown as the "jet" of the bat world, the mexican free tail bat can fly at speeds of up to 60 mph. They are the smallest of the free tailed bats and weigh no more than a light bulb. Made out of sustainably harvested balsa wood, these lightweight ornaments are hand carved and then painted with non toxic acrylic paint by a cooperative of skilled artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. Approximate size: 5" x 2".
