C-Chair | Paper Cord wood finish:Black stained oak Designed for the 1929 GermanC Chair Paper Cord by Marcel Gascoin for Gubi. The elegant C Chair designed in 1947 is one of Gascoign's most well known pieces. The chair was originally designed to fit into the new sizes of homes built in the post war years in France. Here Gascoin created a simple, functional piece of furniture to make up for the lack of space in these new homes. The seat and the backrest of the chair are upholstered with paper cord. The sturdy wooden frame is
