This photograph would have been taken from the top of the Water Clock Tower that was located in the railyards just south of Princes Bridge Station from 1902 to 1910

Within a few years (by 1875) the Leveson Wine & Spirit Merchants building was replaced by the Hobson's Bay Railway Hotel (now Hosie's hotel)

Steam Tugboat "Geebung" Spencer Street and after that is JohnSteam Tugboat "Geebung" was one of a number of tugboats used by the Melbourne Harbour Trust to tow and push larger vessels in and out of Port Melbourne and the Docks. "Geebung" was built in 1885 in New South Wales[1],commenced work in Melbourne in 1889[1], and was lost when she sank in the Yarra in 1962 near Flinders Street Station.
