Drakkar Viking, Longship 40cm Classic Nautical reminiscent of eras when mapsLongships were fitted with oars along almost the entire length of the boat itself. Later versions sported a rectangular sail on a single mast which was used to replace or augment the effort of the rowers, particularly during long journeys. The well known term Drakkar describes the largest of the Viking fleet's warships, which bore the shape of a dragon, indicating that they belonged to a king or nobleman, while their construction would cost a bundle.
