Such maladies with the AI include occasionally giving purely beneficial equip cards to your opponent's monsters, just plain not using cards, summoning monsters like Sphere Kuriboh (weak monster works better as a hand trap than being summoned) or Labyrinth Wall (zero attack) in attack position, and using cards like Enemy Controller on things when there's no need to or it puts you in a worse situation
